Justine Greening MP has been appointed as the new Secretary of State for Education, as PM Theresa May announced her cabinet.
Ms Greening was educated at a comprehensive school in Rotherham where she grew up and studied economics at Southampton University. She also has an MBA from the London Business School.
She was elected to Parliament in 2005 and has held a number of senior Government positions, including as Economic Secretary to the Treasury; Transport Secretary and Secretary of State for International Development.
